Bronze PBIS Medal

Congratulations Ellen Ochoa Rockets!

EOLC has been recognized by the State of California for our achievement with the implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). This award reflects excellence in the implementation of the core features of PBIS.  Our school’s name is also listed on the California PBIS website and we will be featured at the Tenth Annual California PBIS Conference in Sacramento on October 8-10, 2025. Amazing!
"We truly appreciate your hard work and commitment to implementing PBIS with fidelity and creating the conditions to maximize social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes for ALL students.  Congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment!" -CA PBIS and the 2025 CA PBIS Recognition Sub-Committee

Our Mission and Vision

Mission: Ellen Ochoa Learning Center strives to develop the whole student: academically, socially, and emotionally. We will enable students to be productive and healthy members of society and life-long learners. Ellen Ochoa Learning Center will provide a safe, caring, academic environment that will focus on creating confident problem-solvers who positively contribute to our changing world. We will provide on-going learning opportunities for all students and adult members of the school community.

Vision: Our vision is to promote Dual Language education from Transitional Kindergarten-Eighth grade so that all students have the opportunity to be become bi-literate and bicultural. Our instructional vision is full implementation of the Common Core standards, including the Next Generation Science standards, and the use of technology as an integral part of the teaching and learning process.
